In the framework of this work, we realized topographic studies for the dykes in the Danube river catchment area related to the territory administered by ABA Buzău-Ialomita.
The project on Topographic Studies – Danube Dykes was part of a broad procedure of inventory of flood defense dykes in the Danube river area and assessment of their safety status. Thus, topographic measurements were carried out on a length of 670 km of dykes under the administration of the Ialomita Water Basin Administration.
On the basis of the measurements carried out, situation plans, cross-sectional profiles and longitudinal profiles were drawn up, thus obtaining a clear and accurate picture of the topography of the defense dykes in the Danube river basin corresponding to the territory administered by ABA Buzău-Ialomița.
